1. At a glance

This policy explains how Brainwavest (“Brainwavest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit brainwavest.com, create an account, purchase a membership, save favorites, or play an experience.

✓
The important boundary

Brainwavest receives account, billing-status, favorites, listening-history, and basic performance data as described below. It does not receive the audio signal generated by your device and does not use your device microphone.

2. Information we handle

CategoryWhat it includesWhen
Device preferencesTheme, volume, noise trim, filters, notices seen, last-played session, favorites, Today choices, session-fit answers, first-visit date, free-session count, offline app files, and a recent active-entitlement check.Stored in your browser. The entitlement check expires after seven days; favorites and history are sent to your account only where noted below.

BillingPlan cadence, subscription and customer identifiers, renewal/cancellation status, and payment events. Stripe—not Brainwavest—collects card and bank details. When you start or manage a paid membership.
AcquisitionCampaign source, medium, campaign label, landing path, and external referrer hostname. We do not store the full referring URL, an advertising identifier, or a cross-site browsing history.Stored on this site for up to 90 days when you arrive through a campaign link or external referral, then associated with a membership only if you purchase.

These counters contain no account, person, device, IP-address, cookie, or user-agent identifier. When one of these allow-listed events occurs. We do not create an individual event timeline.
TechnicalRequested pages, standard server/security logs, device/browser characteristics, and page-performance metrics such as load responsiveness and route. When the service is requested or used.
SupportYour email, message, and information you choose to include. When you contact us.

Please do not send medical records or other sensitive health information to support. Session names and listening history describe product usage; Brainwavest does not use them to diagnose you or create a medical profile.

3. How we use information

We use information only for defined service and operational purposes:

  • provide the website, audio engine, account, favorites, history, and membership access;
  • secure, debug, measure, and improve reliability and performance;
  • respond to support requests and important service communications; and
  • comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the service.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performance of our contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, your consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose only what is necessary to providers that operate the service, to professional advisers under confidentiality, in a genuine corporate transaction, or when required to comply with law or protect rights and safety.

Supabase

Authentication, account database, favorites, history, and membership records.

Stripe

Checkout, payment methods, subscriptions, invoices, and the billing portal.

Vercel

Website hosting, delivery, security logs, and aggregate performance measurement.

Email delivery

Magic sign-in links, transactional messages, and support correspondence.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Payment credentials entered in Stripe’s payment interface are delivered directly to Stripe and are not stored on Brainwavest servers.

5. Retention

Browser preferences remain on your device until you clear site data or your browser removes them. Campaign attribution stored on this site expires after 90 days unless it is attached to a completed membership for revenue reporting. Daily aggregate journey counters may be retained for historical revenue analysis because they cannot identify a person or device. Account, favorites, and listening history are generally kept while your account is active and deleted or de-identified after a valid deletion request, subject to security, backup, dispute, and legal-retention needs.

Billing and transaction records may be kept longer where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, chargeback, or legal purposes. Security and performance logs are kept only for operationally appropriate periods. We aim to retain personal information no longer than needed for the purpose disclosed.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Use the service signed out. Device preferences and free-session use stay in your browser; account sync and membership features require sign-in.
  • Control device data. Clear Brainwavest site data in your browser to remove local preferences and signed-out favorites.
  • Update your account. Change your display name and manage billing from the Account Dashboard.
  • Request data action. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent.
  • Complain or appeal. You may contact us about a decision and, where available, lodge a complaint with your local privacy regulator.

Email support@brainwavest.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may need to verify that you control the relevant account. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law.

7. U.S. state and regional disclosures

Where applicable, residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Brainwavest does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or advertising-share opt-out to exercise.

In the preceding 12 months, the categories collected are the identifiers, commercial information, internet or electronic activity, and inferences/preferences described in Section 2. They are used and disclosed for the business purposes in Sections 3 and 4. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

8. Security

We use measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, managed authentication, access controls, row-level account isolation, restricted service credentials, and provider-hosted payment collection. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account or information is at risk, sign out of other sessions where available and contact support@brainwavest.com promptly.

9. Children

Brainwavest is designed for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13, or below the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

10. International transfers

Brainwavest and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on recognized safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism. Local privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised policy here, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights or how personal information is used.

Questions or requests: support@brainwavest.com. For service rules, see the Terms of Service; for payment terms, see the Refund & Billing Policy.
